Northern California Region--Classic Car Club of America
Welcome to the official web site of the Northern California Region of the Classic Car Club of America.
We are dedicated to furthering the hobby of preserving, exhibiting, and driving Full Classic™ automobiles in Northern California. For a list of qualifying automobiles, click here.
The NorCal chapter is approximately 175 members strong, with most members hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area. The ages of our members range from twenty-something to eighty-something. An intriguing variety of classic marques are represented, including Packard, Cadillac, Buick, Auburn, Chrysler, Cord, Pierce-Arrow, Stutz, and Rolls Royce, Lincoln and many more.
We sponsor activities intended to foster the enjoyment of our prized vehicles. For any month in which rain doesn't threaten, we might plan a "CARavan™" -- an organized group of classic cars motoring via scenic byways and back roads to destinations of interest. A CARavan™ may last an afternoon or it may span several days. On special occasions our excursions end up at a private collection, giving participants a rare opportunity to see automobiles not otherwise shown to the public.
We also sponsor important classic car exhibitions and formal dinners. Our club hosted the national 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Classic Car Club of America in January 2002.
Finally, we offer our members opportunities to network and consult each other about restoration projects, parts sources, classics for sale--all this, in the interest of sharing our appreciation for fine automobiles from the classic era.
